(Baonghean.vn) - In a fit of anger, a middle-aged man carried a homemade knife and caused chaos at the headquarters of the People's Committee of Nghi Tan ward, Cua Lo town.

Cua Lo town police, Nghe An are temporarily detaining Hoang Van Nam (born in 1965, residing in block 9 - Nghi Tan ward - Cua Lo town) to clarify the subject's behavior of disturbing public order.

Previously, at around 2:30 p.m. on December 25, 2018, Hoang Van Nam used a homemade knife about 1 meter long to storm into Nghi Tan Ward People's Committee (at block 6, Nghi Tan Ward, Cua Lo Town) and shouted: "Where are the Chairman and Vice Chairman?", and walked around the headquarters causing chaos, causing panic among staff, and halting all activities of Nghi Tan Ward People's Committee, Cua Lo Town.

Immediately after receiving the report from the Chairman of Nghi Tan Ward, the General Investigation Team of the Town Police promptly arrived at the scene, arrested, confiscated the weapon and temporarily detained Hoang Van Nam to investigate and handle the act of disturbing public order.

The 1 meter long knife was homemade and brought to the ward People's Committee headquarters to "ask for clarification".

According to initial investigation, the subject confessed that due to frustration with the handling of the Nghi Tan Ward People's Committee's handling of the corridor clearance at Nam's mother's house, the subject temporarily brought the weapon to the Ward People's Committee to "ask for clarification".

Currently, Cua Lo Town Police have temporarily detained the subject and completed the case file to prosecute the subject for disturbing public order.
