Establishment of the Overseas Vietnamese Business Association in the North Central region
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of December 27, within the framework of the Conference connecting overseas Vietnamese with localities held in Vinh City, Nghe An, the Association of Overseas Vietnamese Entrepreneurs announced the establishment of the Association of Overseas Vietnamese Entrepreneurs in the North Central region.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Mr. Peter Hong - Permanent Vice President and General Secretary of the Association of Overseas Vietnamese Entrepreneurs highly appreciated the potential of the provinces in the North Central region, especially Nghe An - the hometown of President Ho Chi Minh.
Therefore, the establishment of the Overseas Vietnamese Business Association in the North Central region is extremely necessary, creating working conditions and connecting overseas businessmen investing in Nghe An in particular and the North Central provinces in general.
The Overseas Vietnamese Business Association in the North Central region was established under Decision 92/QD/HH dated December 20, 2018 of the Standing Committee of the Overseas Vietnamese Business Association, with Mr. Nguyen Cong Chinh, a German expatriate, as the Branch Chairman.
Immediately after its establishment and to concretize the activities of the branch, on the morning of December 29, the Association of Overseas Vietnamese Entrepreneurs will organize the Workshop "Overseas Vietnamese combining investment and development in the North Central region".

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Cong Chinh emphasized that the association will connect overseas Vietnamese businesses with local businesses and authorities to implement the proposed program; at the same time, help overseas Vietnamese access information, cooperate in investment, contributing to creating a breakthrough for the North Central region.
Ambassador Luong Thanh Nghi - Vice Chairman of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese, congratulated the association and expressed his belief that overseas Vietnamese businesses will invest and succeed in the provinces in the region.

The Association of Vietnamese Entrepreneurs Abroad was established under Resolution 36 - NQ/TW of the Politburo and Decision 23/QD-BNV dated March 13, 2009 of the Ministry of Home Affairs, under the management of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese, Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Currently, the Association's Executive Board consists of 33 members, who are overseas Vietnamese from 17 countries around the world. The Association's slogan is: "Connecting overseas Vietnamese businessmen with Vietnamese businesses. The Association is promoting the establishment of 7 branches nationwide, including the North Central Region Branch.
