Double bombing in Thailand suspected to be carried out by terrorists
Thai leaders say the twin bombings in the country's Songkhla province were most likely carried out by terrorists.
Thai Deputy Prime Minister Prawit Wongsuwon affirmed that the bombing two days ago was politically motivated and was most likely carried out by terrorists in the south of the country.

Thai police said they are still investigating and searching for the perpetrators of the two bombings, but personal conflicts between local businessmen have been ruled out as the cause. This was an organized and premeditated act.
Previously, on December 26, a bomb attack occurred at Samila Beach, Muong District, Songkhla Province. Although there were no casualties, the incident caused fear among tourists and local residents. Samila Beach has now reopened.
