Alarm clocks increase stress levels and make you feel agitated when you have to hear it over and over again. One effective way is to keep the alarm clock far away from your bed, so that if you want to turn it off, you have to get out of bed and wake up quickly. Photo:Independent.

Too much exposure to sunlight:To help you start your day in a positive mood, you need to get some sunlight. Light tells your brain that it’s time to wake up. It helps regulate and keep your body clock on track. A study in the journal PLOS One found that sunlight not only affects your sleep-wake cycle but also helps lower your body mass index. 90-second shower method:If you have a habit of taking a warm shower in the morning, you should think again. In fact, taking a warm shower is what doctors recommend people do when they have trouble sleeping. Therefore, to reduce fatigue and sleepiness, you should do the 90-second shower method. That is: take a shower under cold water (the coldest possible) for about 30 seconds; in the next 30 seconds, take a shower under the hottest water you can stand; then, go back to the coldest shower for the last 30 seconds. This method not only helps you wake up completely but also provides many health benefits such as reducing stress and improving the immune system. Photo:Researchdigest.
