North Korea holds rally to mark Kim Jong-un's inauguration as commander-in-chief

The country held a rally to mark the seventh anniversary of leader Kim Jong-un's assumption of the post of commander-in-chief of the Korean People's Army, KCNA reported.

According to Yonhap, on December 30, the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported that the country held a rally to celebrate the 7th anniversary of leader Kim Jong-un assuming the position of Commander-in-Chief of the Korean Armed Forces.

The rally was held on December 29 in the capital Pyongyang, with the presence of many senior officials from the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) and the Korean People's Army (KPA).

Speaking at the rally, Army General Kim Su-gil affirmed that leader Kim Jong-un contributed to "the development to make the KPA a strong armed force" and "a decisive turning point in building the army based on the Juche (self-reliance) ideology"./.
