Provincial Party Secretary offers incense to commemorate Heroic Vietnamese Mothers, martyrs, and veteran revolutionary cadres

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of January 2, comrade Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation offered incense to commemorate Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Thao; martyr Ho My Xuyen and veteran revolutionary cadre Nguyen Thi Chanh in Quynh Doi commune, Quynh Luu district.

Also attending were comrade Ho Phuc Hop - Standing Committee member, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board and leaders of Quynh Luu district.

Offering incense to commemorate Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Thao, martyr Ho My Xuyen and veteran revolutionary cadre Nguyen Thi Chanh, comrade Nguyen Dac Vinh and his comrades in the delegation expressed their deep gratitude for the great contributions of comrades to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation.

Comrade Nguyen Thi Thao was born in 1900 and died in 1984. She was the wife of the exemplary leader Ho Tung Mau. Comrade Nguyen Thi Thao made silent sacrifices and collaborated effectively, helping her husband to accomplish the great cause of saving the country and the people. With such great contributions, in 1995, she was honored to be awarded the title of Vietnamese Heroic Mother by the Party and State.

Comrade Ho My Xuyen, born in 1920, is the only child of comrades Ho Tung Mau and Nguyen Thi Thao. He participated in revolutionary activities early and was admitted to the Party in 1945. From May 1945 to 1946, comrade Ho My Xuyen was a member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, member of the Standing Committee and Deputy Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee. Comrade Ho My Xuyen was also the first Director of the Provincial Party School, now the Nghe An Provincial Political School.

In 1947, he was transferred to Viet Bac, working at the Central Party Office. He died in Luc Yen Chau, Yen Bai on March 19, 1948 while he was a Special Commissioner of the Government Delegation on a mission to the Northwest front.

Comrade Nguyen Thi Chanh was born in 1919 and participated in patriotic activities early and was the wife of comrade Ho My Xuyen. Her husband died early, leaving her to raise three young children alone, but with the noble virtues of a Vietnamese woman, she devoted herself to her husband and raised her children to adulthood.

Although she was arrested and imprisoned, she remained loyal to the Party and was a member of the District Party Committee and Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Quynh Luu District. With her great contributions, Comrade Nguyen Thi Chanh was recognized by the Party and the State as a revolutionary veteran and awarded the 70-year Party membership badge. Comrade Nguyen Thi Chanh passed away in 2018.
