Young man stabs and seriously injures director of self-drive car rental company
(Baonghean.vn) - After renting a self-drive car and damaging it but refusing to pay compensation according to the contract, a young man got into an argument and called someone with a knife to attack the car rental company's employees. As a result, the director of the self-drive car rental company was seriously injured.
On January 4, information from Hung Dung Ward Police, Vinh City, Nghe An Province said that this agency had received a complaint from Mr. Vuong Dinh Long - Director of Uy Tam Self-Drive Car Rental Company about a young man damaging his car during the rental process and then attacking him with a knife, causing serious injuries. The incident occurred at 9:55 a.m. on January 1 at the headquarters of Uy Tam Self-Drive Car Rental Company at 196 Nguyen Sy Sach Street, Vinh City, Nghe An Province.

Previously, Le Dinh Ch (born in 1989), residing in Vinh Tan ward, Vinh city, had a contract to rent a self-driving car with Uy Tam company. During use, the car that Ch rented was severely damaged and the total cost of repairs was 146 million VND. According to the rental contract, Ch had to compensate for part of the responsibility for this damaged car. Mr. Long said: "The car that Ch rented was in an accident and cost 146 million VND to repair, the amount that the renter had to compensate according to the contract was 12 million VND. After many attempts, C resolutely refused to pay the above amount."
However, during the conversation, Ch did not cooperate and repeatedly threatened the company's employees and leaders. On the morning of the incident, Ch was invited to Uy Tam Company to continue resolving the compensation for the car.

Here, Ch refused to pay and even called someone to threaten the company's employees with a knife. When Mr. Long stepped in to resolve the matter, Ch rushed in to fight. During the chaos, Ch pulled out a knife he had hidden on him and stabbed Mr. Long twice in the shoulder.

The incident was stopped by everyone, Ch left the scene, and Mr. Long was taken to the hospital by everyone in a state of broken shoulder bone and bone marrow leakage. Afterwards, Mr. Long filed a report with the police.
Currently, Hung Dung Ward Police have transferred the case file to Vinh City Police Investigation Agency to continue investigating and clarifying the above subject's behavior.
