Inauguration of Ngoc Lam parish church

(Baonghean.vn) - After more than 4 years of construction, the church of Ngoc Lam parish, Thanh An commune, Thanh Chuong district has been completed. On the morning of January 12, the people of Ngoc Lam parish held an inauguration ceremony for the church.

Attending the inauguration ceremony were Bishop Phaolo Nguyen Thai Hop, guest priests and a large number of parishioners inside and outside Ngoc Lam parish, Mo Vinh parish.

Ngoc Lam parish in Thanh An commune has 142 households and more than 600 people. For many years, people have practiced their religion in a small chapel in the area. Now, the new church building includes a sanctuary with an area of ​​nearly 600 square meters (length 37 meters, width 16 meters), the lower floor is the hall, the upper floor is the place for ceremonies with a bell tower dozens of meters high.

Construction started in September 2014, after more than 4 years of construction, the project was completed with a cost of nearly 6 billion VND.

After its inauguration, the new, spacious church will meet the religious needs of parishioners in the parish.
