Japanese Foreign Minister talks with Mike Pompeo about the US-North Korea summit
Japanese Foreign Minister Taro Kono held a phone call with his US counterpart Mike Pompeo. They discussed preparations for the second US-North Korea Summit.

The White House announced on January 18 that US President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un will hold a bilateral summit near the end of February at a location to be announced later.
The statement was made after Mr. Trump met with Vice Chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea Kim Yong Chol - the "right-hand man" of leader Kim Jong-un in the Oval Office.
