(Baonghean.vn) - On January 21, a delegation of the Vietnam Education Trade Union - Ministry of Education and Training visited and presented gifts to teachers, students and schools in Na Ngoi commune - Ky Son district. Accompanying the delegation were comrades from the Department of Teachers and education management staff, representatives of a number of universities in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

At Na Ngoi 1 Primary School, visiting and working with the school, Mr. Vu Minh Duc - Chairman of the Trade Union of the industry was pleased with the efforts of the school over the past years. Although this is a school located in a border area, with extremely difficult conditions, the students are mainly children of Mong and Kho Mu ethnic groups, but over the years, the teachers and students of the school have still achieved many good results in teaching and learning, with quality in the top 10 of the whole district.

On the occasion of the Lunar New Year, the Chairman of the Trade Union wished the school to continue to achieve many results. At the same time, strive to overcome all difficulties to fulfill the task of educating people.

Also this morning, the delegation visited and gave gifts to teachers and students of Na Ngoi 1 Kindergarten and Na Ngoi Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities. Currently, there are over 500 students in the two schools, many of whom are currently boarding at the school and most of whom are in extremely difficult circumstances.

In recent times, despite the lack of conditions in schools, especially in remote locations, teachers and staff of the schools have still taken care of teaching and learning, ensuring that grades are maintained. Near the Lunar New Year, schools organize Tet celebrations for students and have gifts to support poor students.

In addition, the delegation also came directly to give gifts to two teachers who are living in the village, namely teacher Nguyen Thi Thanh Huyen - currently working at the Buoc Mu satellite school (Na Ngoi 1 Primary School) and teacher Dang Thi Van - Ka Noi satellite school - Na Ngoi 1 Kindergarten.

Sharing the hardships of teachers in remote areas, he also hopes that they will strive to overcome their circumstances to teach well, study well and gradually develop the education movement comprehensively, keeping up with the favorable areas and lowlands.

On the same afternoon, Chairman of the Vietnam Education Trade Union Vu Minh Duc and the delegation attended the "Tet Sum Vay" Program 2019 at Na Ngoi - Ky Son Border Guard Station organized by Na Ngoi Border Guard Station and Nghe An Education and Training Department in coordination with the Vietnam Education Trade Union, the National Defense Trade Union Committee for teachers, officers and border guards in remote, isolated and difficult border areas.

Tet Sum Vay is an annual activity of the Vietnam Education Trade Union with the aim of expressing gratitude and taking practical care of the material and spiritual life of teachers and students in remote and disadvantaged areas. This is also the first time the program has been held in Nghe An with many traditional activities such as art performances, making Chung cakes, and organizing traditional folk games.

The program held at the border post is also an opportunity for teachers in difficult and border areas to exchange and share experiences with border guards and teachers in green uniforms in the process of propagating the policies of the Party and State, the industry's innovation policies, and mobilizing students to go to school with the goal of "sowing knowledge and protecting the land".

In particular, the program has also received enthusiastic support, participation, and material support from units during the organization process such as education unions of provinces and cities, unions of units in the emulation bloc of the Vietnam Education Union, the Ministry of Education and Training, and the Border Guard Command.

In 2019 alone, the program donated more than 600 million VND in cash and gifts such as blankets, books, cooking oil, and instant noodles to teachers and students.

Of which, 150 gifts were given to 150 disadvantaged teachers of kindergartens, primary schools, and secondary schools in Na Ngoi, Nam Can, Huu Kiem, and Muong Ai communes, each worth 1 million VND. In addition, 20 gifts were given to disadvantaged students, each worth 500,000 VND. Businesses also donated 1,000 gifts, including 1,000 banh chung and many candies, to students in Na Ngoi commune.
