Vietnam national team captain: "My heart will always belong to SLNA"

(Baonghean.vn) - After goalkeeper Dang Van Lam caused a stir when he went abroad to play, now goalkeeper Bui Tien Dung is causing a sensation by leaving Thanh Hoa Club. Que Ngoc Hai has also officially joined Viettel and sent a heartfelt letter to the fans.

Not only Van Lam and Tien Dung, but also captain Que Ngoc Hai has left Song Lam Nghe An. The Vietnamese national team center-back joined Viettel Club on a free transfer with a contract worth 8 billion VND for 3 seasons.

After 15 years of dedication to the yellow jersey of the Nghe An team, Que Ngoc Hai shared many emotions before saying goodbye: "Thank you, Song Lam Nghe An! The place where I was born, grew up, helped me mature, and gave me everything."

"I have been very fortunate to work with the players, coaches, managers, and everyone at the club – those who have helped me grow over the past 15 years, since I first learned what football was," Que Ngoc Hai wrote.

He also moved fans when he affirmed: "My heart will always belong to Song Lam Nghe An."

The young central defender is always grateful for the affection, support, and help everyone has given him: "You have given me the best things since I started with the SLNA first team. You lifted me up when I fell, always gave me encouragement and good wishes when I faced difficulties, even when I disappointed you."

During his time developing at SLNA, Que Ngoc Hai received a great deal of encouragement and support from the fans of Nghe An, especially during the period when the national team captain faced the most difficulties and setbacks in his career.

This afternoon (January 28th), Bui Tien Dung was also present at Hang Day Stadium to finalize his new contract with Hanoi FC. Before leaving, he posted a heartfelt letter to his fans and to Thanh Hoa FC, the team where he played and developed his skills.

The letter read: "The past period has been a wonderful time in Dung's career, receiving guidance and trust from the Thanh Hoa leadership, living in the passionate atmosphere created by the fans, and playing for the club of his hometown where he was born."

"And most importantly, Dung felt the love that everyone had for him." The letter was posted at 3:39 PM, before he got into the car to go to the contract signing location.

Dũng continued: "No matter what kind of parting it is, there's always a feeling of emptiness. I want to express my gratitude to the management and the fans who have been by my side and the club's side throughout this time, those who have always shared the good times and the bad, in any circumstances, whether the team wins or loses."
