Despite Western objections, the Nord Stream 2 project is nearing completion
The construction of the first branch of Nord Stream 2 will be completed in November, the second branch - in December, - announced Paul Corcoran, Chief Financial Officer of Nord Stream 2 AG.

"The construction of the first branch will be completed in November, the second branch in December this year," - Mr. Corcoran said when speaking at the Pan-European Gas Conference.
Nord Stream 2 is building two branches of the gas pipeline with a total capacity of 55 billion cubic meters of gas per year, running from the Russian coast through the Baltic Sea to Germany.
