10 years and 6 months in prison for 3 subjects buying, selling and storing firecrackers
(Baonghean.vn) - Nguyen Duc Tuan was sentenced to 5 years in prison, Dinh Minh Tam to 4 and a half years in prison, Nguyen Ba Trung to 12 months in prison with a suspended sentence, 24 months probation and a fine of 15 million VND.
On the morning of January 30, at Nghi Van Commune People's Committee, Nghi Loc District People's Court tried two cases of trading and storing firecrackers.
According to the indictment, at around 9:00 a.m. on November 22, 2018, Nguyen Duc Tuan (born in 1988) in Nghi Dien commune, Nghi Loc district called to connect with Dinh Minh Tam (born in 1988) in Hoa Tien commune, Minh Hoa district, Quang Binh province to trade fireworks for profit.

At 11:30 p.m. on November 24, 2018, Tam hired a car from an unknown man to transport 9 sacks, including 135 mortars, from Quang Binh to Nghe An.
When Nguyen Duc Tuan and Dinh Minh Tam transported fireworks to the area of Road 46 in Hamlet 3, Nghi Thach Commune, Nghi Loc to sell to a man named Chung, they were discovered and caught red-handed by the Nghi Loc District Police working group at 00:30 on November 25, 2018. The seized evidence included 156.4 kg of fireworks.
Also at the trial, Nguyen Ba Trung (born in 1985) in Nghi Thiet commune, Nghi Loc district was also brought to trial for possession of prohibited goods.
At the trial, all defendants admitted their crimes. Nghi Loc District People's Court sentenced Nguyen Duc Tuan to 5 years in prison, Dinh Minh Tam to 4 years and 6 months in prison, Nguyen Ba Trung to 12 months in prison with a suspended sentence, 24 months probation, and a fine of 15 million VND.
