Two young men hid drugs in a ceramic urn, hired a hearse to transport them, and on the way burned incense and scattered votive papers to fool the police.

At around 2:00 p.m. on February 2 (28th of Lunar New Year), Thua Thien Hue Provincial Police mobilized many forces and police dogs to arrest Quang Van Tien (23 years old) and Luong Van Thanh (18 years old, both residing in Dien Bien) on Le Loi Street (on the bank of Huong River, Hue City).

After the investigation, the police discovered that Tien and Thanh had hidden 70 packages of drugs and 14,000 pink pills in ceramic urns that were used to hold remains. To avoid detection by the authorities, they hired a hearse to transport the drugs from the North to the Central region. Along the way, the duo continuously burned incense and scattered votive papers.

At the investigation agency, Tien and Thanh confessed that Tien bought the drugs from his mother for 175 million VND. Then, Tien asked Thanh to hire a car to transport them to Hue for consumption.

Thua Thien Hue Police are coordinating with Dien Bien Provincial Police and relevant units to continue expanding the investigation.
