Russian President Vladimir Putin has ordered the dismissal of nine generals of the country's law enforcement agencies, including two colonel generals, two lieutenant generals and five major generals. The information was posted on the official legal Internet portal.

Those dismissed from their posts include Lieutenant General Serge Didenko - Head of the Russian Federal Emergency Situations Center in Siberia; Major General of Justice Irina Zeibert - Senior Assistant to the Chairman of the Investigation Committee; Major General Alexandr Kuznetsov - Deputy Head of the Krasnoyarsk Region Internal Affairs Agency; Major General Vladimir Nikiteev - Head of the Kirovsk Region Enforcement Agency; Major General Rafail Gilmanov - Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan; Lieutenant General Pavel Nikolaev - Head of the Investigation Agency of the Republic of Tatarstan Investigation Committee; Colonel General Igor Oder - Head of the Russian Federal Emergency Situations Center in the Southern Region; Colonel General Igor Panin - Head of the Russian Federal Emergency Situations Center in the Northwestern Region; Major General Sergei Solopov - Head of the Department for Economic Security and Anti-Corruption of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in charge of Moscow.

In August 2018, Vladimir Putin signed a decree dismissing 15 generals from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation, the Federal Penitentiary Service and the Russian Investigative Committee.
