Fined 5.5 million, license revoked for 2 months for driver who spread plastic to eat on the highway
The Traffic Police Department issued a fine of 5.5 million VND and revoked the driver's license for 2 months for stopping the car to livestream eating on the Noi Bai-Lao Cai highway.
On the afternoon of February 9 (the 5th day of Tet), Traffic Control Patrol Team No. 1, Traffic Police Department (Ministry of Public Security) in charge of the Noi Bai - Lao Cai Expressway informed that the Traffic Police had stopped a Joli brand car with license plate 36A - 090.48 for violating the traffic law at noon on February 6 (the 2nd day of Tet) by livestreaming eating on the Noi Bai - Lao Cai Expressway and made a record of the violation of "stopping and parking on the highway".
Patrol team No. 1 informed that during the verification process, the driver of car 36A-090.48 who stopped and livestreamed eating on Noi Bai - Lao Cai highway was identified as Mr. Ho Chi Viet (address at 2/3 Tran Quoc Toan, Dien Bien ward, Thanh Hoa city, Thanh Hoa province).

The incident happened earlier, at 11:36 a.m. on February 6 (the second day of Tet), Mr. Viet drove a Joli car with license plate 36A-090.48, stopped in the emergency lane at Km 64+150 in the direction of Noi Bai-Lao Cai in Phu Tho town to have lunch and then livestreamed, causing outrage among netizens.
Patrol Team No. 1 added: After receiving information from social networks, the Traffic Police force verified and learned that the vehicle was going to Sapa, Lao Cai province, and on February 8, when the vehicle entered the highway, it was stopped by the Traffic Police force at the BOT toll station at the entrance to the Lao Cai - Hanoi route.
“During the process, the Vietnamese driver admitted all his violations” - Patrol Team 1 informed and said: Traffic police have drawn up a ticket for the Vietnamese driver driving car 36A-090.48 for violating the law of “stopping and parking on the highway”. Corresponding to this violation, the Vietnamese driver will be fined from 5-6 million VND, in addition to the additional penalty of having his driver's license revoked for 1-3 months according to regulations.
