US official's call to attack Russia raises risk of nuclear war
Calls by US officials to launch an attack against Russia lead to the risk of using weapons and nuclear war, Senator Oleg Morozov told Sputnik.
Earlier, the head of US Naval operations, Admiral John Richardson, urged Washington to launch a strike against Russia and China.

In essence, "crush" and "first strike" are a war, and a war without any clear reason. Because, in the context of increased military activity by the United States and NATO, Russia's actions look like minimal self-defense," Morozov said.
He noted that in modern conditions "any local conflict between the United States and Russia entails the use of nuclear weapons and a major war."
According to the MP, such statements can be called "delusions of madmen".
"There is still hope that these calls will not reach the ears of those in the United States who have the button to start the war. It is impossible to play with the fate of humanity so easily," Morozov stressed.
“Hopefully, this monstrosity does not determine the level of political thinking in the United States,” Mr. Morozov said.
