Put down the pen and go to the battlefield

These February days 40 years ago, China massively attacked the northern border provinces of Vietnam. After 30 days of heroic fighting by our army and people, on March 18, 1979, China announced its withdrawal. However, during the following 10 years, China did not withdraw all its troops as announced. The war continued, so Vietnam was forced to constantly maintain a large military force along the border. During those years, tens of thousands of young people took turns heading towards the Fatherland's border. Lieutenant Vo Van Khoi was one of them.
