Vietnam Border Guard will receive the First Class Military Exploit Order.
On the morning of February 15, at the Border Guard Command, the Ministry of National Defense held a conference of the Organizing Committee to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Border Guard's tradition day (March 3, 1959 - March 3, 2019), the 30th anniversary of the People's Border Guard Day (March 3, 1989 - March 3, 2019) and awarded the First Class Military Exploit Order.

According to the Organizing Committee of the celebration, the Border Guard Command has directed units in the entire force to carry out many activities of gratitude, remembering the source of water to show gratitude to families of policy beneficiaries and people with meritorious services; at the same time, propagandize and educate officers, soldiers and people about the heroic tradition of the Vietnam People's Army in general, the tradition of the Border Guard in particular; and renovate and upgrade the Po Hen Martyrs Memorial in Quang Ninh province.
Constructing the monument “People’s Armed Police Soldiers Protecting the Border” at the Hien Luong - Ben Hai Historical Site, Quang Tri Province; upgrading and renovating the Southern Armed Security Traditional Site in Tay Ninh; directing units to build and repair martyrs’ memorial steles at border posts. Concluding the conference, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Trong Nghia - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics emphasized: This is a major event of the Border Guard force, so the preparation for the celebration must be extremely urgent and solemn to honor the entire force.
The assigned units must prepare urgently, not leaving any work behind; ensure absolute safety, especially order, security, and safety before, during and after the celebration. Ensure compliance with regulations on travel, entry and exit to the Ministry of National Defense, principles on keeping national defense and security secrets...
The celebration program will last 90 minutes, including 30 minutes of art performances, 60 minutes of the main program of the celebration and will be broadcast live on Vietnam Television, VOV1 - Voice of Vietnam and the Military Radio and Television Center on the morning of March 1, 2019.
