Urge the settlement and response to voters' opinions and recommendations
(Baonghean.vn) - That was the direction of Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Xuan Son at the regular February meeting of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council held on the morning of February 22, to evaluate the results of February, deploy a number of key tasks in March 2019; listen and give opinions on the list of resolutions for the Provincial People's Council in 2019.

Also attending were members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee: Cao Thi Hien - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Le Hong Vinh - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Thi Thu Huong - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, Head of the Provincial People's Council's Culture - Society Department; leaders of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and a number of provincial departments and branches.
12 departments, branches and districts have not responded to voters' petitions.
Accordingly, at the 8th session of the 17th Provincial People's Council, term 2015-2020, held in mid-December 2018, voters in the province sent 52 opinions and recommendations to the Provincial People's Council via the online telephone line.
After the meeting, the Provincial People's Council compiled, classified and sent an official dispatch requesting 22 departments, branches and district-level units to resolve and respond. However, up to this point, 12 departments, branches and district-level units have not yet responded to voters' petitions.

In addition to urging the settlement of voters' petitions, in February, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council also received 29 petitions, complaints, denunciations, reflections and petitions from citizens; of which 15 petitions were forwarded to relevant levels and sectors for settlement according to their authority.
In addition to the above content, the Standing Committee and the Committees of the Provincial People's Council also conducted an examination and proposed to develop a resolution of the Provincial People's Council in 2019; develop a plan to organize monitoring and surveys according to the plan; give opinions on the content arising between the two sessions of the Provincial People's Council on supplementing and adjusting the price list of land types, from January 1, 2015 to December 31, 2019 in communes and towns in Anh Son district;...

Avoid spreading out in proposed resolutions
Based on the assessment of February's tasks, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council has also clearly identified key tasks in March 2019. Concluding on this content, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Xuan Son requested the Office and the Provincial People's Council committees to continue urging the Departments, branches and district levels to seriously resolve and respond to voters' opinions and recommendations in accordance with regulations, ensuring the rights of the people.
Regarding the content of citizens' petitions and denunciations in February, in addition to the outstanding issues, there were 8 petitions related to prosecution and trial work. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Council directed the Provincial People's Council Committees to investigate and grasp information about the situation to advise the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council to handle within their authority.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Council also noted a number of key tasks in March 2019, including focusing on implementing quality monitoring and surveying according to the plan; considering the selection of content for the explanation session of the Provincial People's Council Standing Committee in April, ensuring practicality and effectiveness on the basis of monitoring, surveying, information collection, listening to feedback, recommendations and public opinion, in order to create a change for the selected issue after the explanation session.
Regarding the list of resolutions for the Provincial People's Council in 2019, Comrade Nguyen Xuan Son requested the Provincial People's Committee to direct departments and branches to continue reviewing, avoiding spreading or not ensuring resources for implementation after promulgation; at the same time, pay attention to legal and practical bases, clearly determine the time for submission to the Provincial People's Council, to be proactive, ensuring that the draft resolutions submitted are of high quality.
