Glorious moments of Vietnamese football's 'golden generation' in photo book
More than 500 photos of the country's football achievements throughout 2018 were collected in a book by photographer Nguyen A.
Photographer Nguyen A holds an exhibition in District 7, Ho Chi Minh City to introduce new books - 2018 - Historical mark of Vietnamese football.The book is his ninth publication, 400 pages long and featuring more than 500 photos by Nguyen A. The work records the journey to glory of the Vietnamese team in 2018, from the Silver Medal at the U23 Asian Cup in Changzhou, China to the victory over Malaysia at the AFF Cup in My Dinh, Hanoi.

Photographer Nguyen A cherished the work while following the achievements of a golden generation of Vietnamese football at the 2018 U23 Asian Cup final, 2018 ASIAD and 2018 AFF Cup. During the matches, he worked as an artist, not a reporter. He was under creative pressure to think of unique and strange camera angles, different from most journalists attending the same event. For example, in the first leg of the AFF Cup final (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia), in a photo, he captured the contrast in emotions between the groups of fans of the two countries sitting across a fence when the Vietnamese team scored. The photo of player Van Hau lying with his arms spread out on the national flag celebrating the final victory also created many emotions for viewers.
In addition to the moments of competition between the home team and opponents on the field, Nguyen A also focuses on the expressions of coach Park Hang-seo when watching his students compete, answering the media at press conferences... The many ways Vietnamese fans celebrate victories are also topics that he actively exploits.

Trước đó, Nguyễn Á tổ chức triển lãm về cuốn sách vào cuối tháng 1 tại Văn Miếu, Hà Nội.
Nguyễn Á sinh năm 1968 tại TP HCM, là hội viên xuất sắc Hội nghệ sĩ nhiếp ảnh Việt Nam. Anh từng thực hiện các triển lãm: Họ đã sống như thế (giải A xuất sắc quốc gia 2009), Tâm và tài - Họ là ai (giải A xuất sắc quốc gia cuộc thi Nhiếp ảnh nghệ thuật Việt Nam đồng hành cùng đất nước 30 năm đổi mới), Nick Vujicic và những ngày ở Việt Nam (giải B xuất sắc quốc gia năm 2013), Hoàng Sa - Trường Sa biển đảo Việt Nam (cúp vàng xuất sắc quốc gia năm 2014)...
