The Muangthong United goalkeeper sent a Volkswagen car as a gift to Mr. Dang Van Son and his wife.

"Fulfilling my dream. A gift for Dad," Van Lam captioned the image posted on his personal page. Currently, he trains and competes in Thailand and decided to give his parents a gift from afar by sending money home to buy a German-branded SUV, the Volkswagen Tiguan.

The image of Mr. Dang Van Son smiling and putting his arm around his wife's shoulder received nearly 30,000 likes and over 700 comments. Fans congratulated the Vietnamese-born goalkeeper and his parents. "Congratulations, your parents are proud of you," wrote Hung Cuong Nguyen. A fan named Thao Minh wrote: "Congratulations to you both on your new car. Congratulations to Lam for fulfilling his dream."

Dang Linh Nga's sister also commented: "The most adorable thing. So much effort and sweat did she put into buying this gift for Dad Son."

Dang Van Lam was born and raised in Russia. His father is dancer Dang Van Son, and his mother is Olga Jukova, a Russian actress. He trained at the Spartak Moscow and Dynamo Moscow academies. In 2011, Van Lam left Russia and returned to Vietnam to pursue his career. After eight years, Van Lam proved himself with the best season of his career in 2018 while playing for Hai Phong. Subsequently, the goalkeeper born in 1993 became the number one goalkeeper for the Vietnamese national team, winning the 2018 AFF Cup and reaching the quarterfinals of the 2019 Asian Cup.
