Cooperation in producing Tencha tea using Japanese technology in Anh Son
(Baonghean.vn) - Tencha is the name of the tea leaves used to make Matcha tea - a famous Japanese green tea powder. The project will be implemented in the third quarter of 2019 with a scale of nearly 40 hectares in Anh Son district.
On February 28, in Vinh City, Song Lam Sugarcane Joint Stock Company and Econuti Food Joint Stock Company had a working session on a memorandum of understanding to cooperate in producing Tencha tea using Japanese technology in Anh Son district.

After more than 2 years of pilot production of Matcha tea in Anh Son district under the Japanese JICA project in Nghe An, Econuti Food Joint Stock Company has proposed Song Lam Sugarcane Joint Stock Company to continue implementing the Tencha production project.
In the spirit of cooperation and companionship in production and business for mutual benefit, representatives of both parties signed a memorandum of understanding and a cooperation agreement on producing Matcha tea using Japanese technology.

Accordingly, the parties involved will coordinate with each other in developing and implementing activities related to Tencha production in Anh Son. Quantum Leaps Company together with Econuti Food Joint Stock Company will provide machinery, equipment and materials, and technical guidance on tea cultivation. Song Lam Sugar Joint Stock Company will provide raw materials such as green tea to produce Tencha.
At the working session, representatives of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and the People's Committee of Anh Son district committed to support related issues in the production process and development of raw material areas of the project.
