Nghe An: Many parishioners voluntarily join the District Fatherland Front Committee

To ensure that the number of non-Party members reaches 25% - 30%,On May 21, 2018, the Standing Committee of Anh Son District Party Committee issued Circular No. 07 TT/HU on leadership and direction of grassroots Fatherland Front congresses towards district-level Fatherland Front congresses. By February 28, 2019, Anh Son had completed the 20/21 grassroots Fatherland Front congresses.

The most outstanding point of the 2019 - 2024 term is that the quality of cadres in the Standing Committee of the Fatherland Front of the commune and town in Anh Son has been improved with 100% having a university degree and a political degree of intermediate level or higher.

Notably, 14/21 communes and towns in Anh Son have Catholics living there, and all 14 units have Catholic representatives participating in the commune-level Fatherland Front Committee.

Among the 450 members of the grassroots Fatherland Front Committee of 14 communes and towns with Catholics, 60 are Catholics, accounting for 13%, an increase of 3% compared to the 2013-2018 term; 9 representatives of the Pastoral Council of 9 parishes out of a total of 18 parishes in Anh Son are members of the new committee, an increase of 50% compared to the previous term.

For the district level, the draft personnel plan expects the number of Catholic members of the district-level Fatherland Front Committee to account for 12%, an increase of 3% compared to the previous term.

With the attention of the Party Committee, government and member organizations in the political system, we believe that the Fatherland Front at all levels in Anh Son deserves to be the flag to rally the great solidarity bloc in the heroic homeland of the people's armed forces.
