Con Cuong: Planting 60 hectares of new Xa Doai oranges using Japanese technology

(Baonghean.vn) - Con Cuong district is cooperating with enterprises to plant 60 hectares of the best Xa Doai orange variety in Thong Thung Bung, Mon Son commune, Con Cuong district using Japanese technology.

The orange variety is extracted from disease-free Xa Doai oranges, processed according to advanced technical processes and brought to grow in Thung Bung village, Mon Son commune - a place that has never actively grown any industrial or agricultural crops.

Out of a total area of ​​60 hectares, the farm has planted more than 50 hectares with 30 thousand trees. The new planting density is 550 trees/ha, with rows and trees about 5 m apart. The square pit surface is 0.5 m on each side and about 0.5 m deep.

The orange growing investor - Mr. Trinh Xuan Giao, said: Currently, some streams and creeks have been renovated to have water to irrigate the oranges, the pump uses solar energy, the orange care process uses completely microbial fertilizers according to Japanese technology, no pesticides are used. The oranges will be drip irrigated. The total investment in the model is currently 40 billion VND.

Thung Bung area has good soil quality, which has not been exploited. After surveying and finding that the soil here is rich and fertile, suitable for growing orange trees, Thien An orange farm leveled the ground, renovated and invested in developing orange trees.

In particular, Thung Bung is surrounded on all four sides by mountain ranges, located far from residential areas, isolated from the outside, avoiding epidemics, which is good for growing orange trees.

Developing orange trees here not only exploits and develops the land potential but also creates good conditions for Con Cuong district to develop its strengths in eco-tourism.
