Disciplinary action against 526 thousand party members/year

According to information from the Supreme People's Procuracy, Wu Zhen, former Deputy Director General of the National Food and Drug Supervision Administration, was arrested for suspected abuse of power and bribery; Jin Suidong, Deputy Secretary and Vice Chairman of the Henan Provincial People's Political Consultative Conference, was arrested for alleged bribery; Li Shixiang, Deputy Secretary and Vice Chairman of the Beijing Municipal People's Political Consultative Conference, was arrested for alleged bribery.All three have now had their files completed for prosecution.

The person prosecuted by the Supreme People's Procuracy for bribery is Zeng Zhiquan, former member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the United Front Department of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee.

After being investigated for his involvement in the massive fake vaccine scandal in Changchun in August 2018, Ngo Trinh was expelled from the Party on February 2, 2019. Now 60 years old, Ngo Trinh has held a position in the food and drug management and supervision system for many years.

He fell from his horse on September 15, 2018 and was expelled from the Party on February 3, 2019. The Committee's report said that in 2018, it investigated the responsibilities of 61,000 leaders, handled 131,000 cases of embezzlement of money for hunger eradication and poverty reduction and bad behavior, handled 14,000 cases related to the underworld, disciplined more than 10,000 officials, transferred 1,899 people to the judicial agency for handling; established investigation files for 27,000 political discipline cases, disciplined 25,000 people, including 29 officials under the Central management, reviewed 13,000 party organizations and 237 party discipline inspection agencies at all levels.
