Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree suspending the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces (INF) Treaty with the United States after his counterpart Donald Trump made a similar move earlier this month.
The US-Russia Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty will expire in less than six months. The US will receive official notification of the Kremlin’s decision, RT reported on March 4. The INF can still be restored if the US immediately stops violating its previous commitments, according to a decree by the Russian president.

This deal could also affect the purchase of other US weapons such as CH-47F helicopters, UH-60 Black Hawks and F-16 fighters.

On March 5, in an anti-mafia operation in the city of Trappani, on the island of Sicily, southern Italy, the Italian Gendarmerie arrested 25 members of the Virga criminal gang and several politicians associated with the gang. The South Korean Unification Ministry announced on March 5 that it will consult with the US to restart two important economic cooperation projects with North Korea, including the reopening of a joint industrial park between the two countries in the border city of Kaesong and a tourism program to North Korea's Mount Kumgang.
