In the first match of Incheon United in K.League 2019 against Jeju United (1-1 draw), there were about 26 thousand Vietnamese fans watching live via a special internet system on an illegal YouTube channel. To prevent illegal broadcasting of Incheon United matches, the Korean Football Federation decided to broadcast live the matches of this team on the K.League homepage.
The reason why Incheon United's matches receive special attention from Vietnamese fans is because the Korean team owns the top star of the reigning Southeast Asian champions, Cong Phuong.
In the first round of K.League 2019, Cong Phuong was not allowed to play. The Vietnamese striker has been training very actively recently and has shone brightly, scoring 4 goals in the most recent friendly match of Incheon United. Therefore, according to the Korean press, Cong Phuong will play, making his debut for Incheon United in the match against Gyeongnam at 12:00 today, March 9.
