Vice President of Vinh University holds the position of Director of Nghe An Department of Education and Training

On the morning of March 11, the Department of Education and Training held a ceremony to announce the Decision to appoint comrade Thai Van Thanh to the position of Director of the Department of Education and Training of Nghe An.

Attending the announcement ceremony were comrades: Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Thai Thanh Quy - Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; comrades in the Provincial Party Standing Committee: Cao Thi Hien - Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council; Le Minh Thong, Le Hong Vinh - Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Thi Thu Huong - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; Nguyen Huu Cau - Director of the Provincial Police; leaders of provincial departments, branches and sectors.

At the ceremony, Comrade Thai Thanh Quy - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee presented Decision No. 599/QD.UBND dated February 28, 2019 of the Provincial People's Committee on receiving and appointing for a term (5 years) Comrade Thai Van Thanh, Vice Rector of Vinh University, to hold the position of Director of the Department of Education and Training, from March 11, 2019.

In his speech assigning tasks, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Thai Thanh Quy highly appreciated the contributions of Comrade Thai Van Thanh in recent years to the education sector. Regardless of his position, he has always completed his tasks excellently, is a good manager, has experience, and has high professional qualifications.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said that the new position is an honor but also a heavy responsibility for comrade Thai Van Thanh. With nearly 29 years of working in the education sector, he hopes that comrade Thai Van Thanh will immediately get to work, bring his intelligence and experience, inherit the industry's traditions and the achievements of previous generations, be an exemplary leader together with the industry's staff to excellently complete the assigned tasks, continue to improve the quality of the education sector, and be the leading flag of the whole country.

Regarding professional duties, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested the new Director of the Department of Education and Training to have solutions to improve the quality of education in the spirit of comprehensive fundamental innovation in education and training. In particular, it is necessary to first build a team of teachers who are both knowledgeable and know how to worry and encourage students' passion for learning, so that "students can understand the relationship between teachers and students, and see the qualities and exemplary role of teachers". Along with the family, teachers must be an important support, imparting knowledge, affection and kindness, so that students can see the discipline of the school.

Besides, it is necessary to build a healthy learning environment so that students can be enthusiastic and enjoy going to school, be passionate about learning, researching, and be equipped with life skills, information technology skills, foreign languages, etc.

He also requested the education sector to actively promote student streaming, right from junior high school. From there, build a high-quality human resource for the province, with both good skills and high technical skills to meet the human resource needs for the development of the province and the region.

At work, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Thai Thanh Quy also requested the education sector to continue building key schools to have leading birds. However, besides that, it is necessary to pay attention to education in mountainous areas, from schools, to accommodation for teachers and students. In particular, it is necessary to pay attention to hot issues such as revenue and expenditure management, school security, social evils infiltrating schools and organizing 2 sessions/day of teaching thoroughly to gain social approval.

Director of the Department of Education and Training Thai Van Thanh is a Professor and Doctor of Education Management. Before being appointed as Director of the Department of Education and Training of Nghe An, he worked for 5 years as Deputy Head of the Department of Primary Education, 8 years as Deputy Head and Head of the Department of Personnel Organization, 9 years as Vice Principal of Vinh University, and was a Delegate of the Provincial People's Council, term XVII.

Comrade Thai Van Thanh is also the first Director of the Department of Education and Training in the country to have the title of professor.
