Man found dead hanging in the forest

Information from the Military Command of Chieu Luu Commune (Ky Son District) said: In this commune, a person went missing until the afternoon of March 11. People discovered the victim dead by hanging.

The victim was Mr. Nguyen Van Xum (born 1973), residing in Luu Hoa village.

The area identified as the location where Mr. Xum went missing.

The initial cause was determined: Mr. Xum had symptoms of mental illness, his mind was always hallucinating, he ran away from home many times but always returned by himself.

Before he died, Mr. Xum went to Ky Son District General Hospital for treatment but then returned home.

On the morning of March 5, he hid in the forest where the village cemetery was located. After many hours, his family did not see him return, so they reported it to the local authorities and organized a search.

At 3:00 p.m. on March 11, people discovered him dead, hanging himself, on a plot of land about 4 km from the village.

Chieu Luu commune search and rescue team is trying to find the victim.

“We mobilized dozens of brothers and villagers to spread out into the forests to search but found no trace. On March 11, we received news that Mr. Xum had died by hanging himself. It is likely that Mr. Xum died 3 days ago,” said Mr. La Thanh Hue, the village team leader of Chieu Luu commune.

Currently, Mr. Nguyen Van Xum's body has been returned to his family for burial according to local customs.
