Unifying some contents of the 3rd Congress of Ethnic Minorities in Nghe An
(Baonghean.vn) - The 3rd Provincial Congress of Ethnic Minorities will be held before October 2019; to continue affirming and recognizing the contributions of ethnic minorities to the cause of local construction and development; to honor, commend and reward outstanding collectives and individuals among ethnic minorities in the renovation period.
On the afternoon of March 13, the Provincial People's Committee held a meeting of the Steering Committee of the 3rd Congress of Ethnic Minorities. Comrade Le Hong Vinh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired.

The Congress of Ethnic Minorities was held to continue summarizing and evaluating achievements and results of ethnic work and ethnic policies in the 2014-2019 period. Affirming the consistent policy of the Party and State on ethnic issues and great national unity.
Nghe An currently has more than 460,000 ethnic minorities living, most of whom are Thai, Mong, Kho Mu, Tho... Therefore, the organization of the 3rd Congress of Ethnic Minorities aims to continue to affirm and recognize the great contributions of ethnic minorities to the cause of local construction and development. This is also an opportunity to honor, commend and reward outstanding collectives and individuals among ethnic minorities in the renovation period.
The Congress is also a forum for exchange, study and sharing of experiences among ethnic groups, and at the same time a broad political and social activity aimed at raising awareness, consolidating trust and consensus among ethnic groups under the leadership of the Party.

The meeting agreed that the District Congress would end before July 2019, and the Provincial Congress would take place before October 2019. At the same time, a plan was proposed, steering subcommittees were established, and specific tasks were assigned to each unit and individual to prepare for the Congress. Comrade Le Hong Vinh was the Head of the Steering Committee.
