Vietnamese Embassy in New Zealand: Update information to protect Vietnamese citizens
As of 4:14 p.m. on March 15, there was no information that Vietnamese citizens were victims of the shootings on the same day at two churches in Christchurch, New Zealand, which left 49 people dead.

Regarding the shootings at two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand, on March 15, which left many people dead and injured, according to information from the Vietnamese Embassy in New Zealand, as of the afternoon of the same day, the number of casualties was 49 dead, 48 injured and there was no information about Vietnamese citizens being victims in the above shootings.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has directed the Vietnamese Embassy in New Zealand to continue monitoring the case, stay in contact with local authorities to update information and take measures to protect citizens if necessary.

New Zealand police have charged a man with carrying out an attack on two churches in Christchurch that left several people dead.
New Zealand Police Commissioner Mike Bush said a man in his 20s has been charged with murder and will appear in court on the morning of March 16.
