"We have no intention of giving in to the US demands made at the Hanoi summit in any form, nor are we ready to engage in this type of negotiation,"Reuterstoday quoted the statement of North Korean Vice Foreign Minister Choe Son-hui at a press conference in Pyongyang.

Ms. Choe said that North Korean leader Kim Jong-un will soon make an official statement on his stance regarding the talks with the US and Pyongyang's next actions.

"Washington has thrown away a golden opportunity at the summit. Chairman Kim may rethink the missile test ban," the North Korean Deputy Foreign Minister stressed.

The second US-North Korea summit in Hanoi in late February ended without any agreement between the two sides. The situation on the Korean peninsula has recently shown signs of complexity, when South Korean intelligence and US experts discovered that Pyongyang appears to be restoring the Sohae rocket launch site, most likely in preparation for a satellite launch.

US National Security Adviser John Bolton also warned that Washington would increase sanctions if Pyongyang did not denuclearize, while US President Donald Trump said he would be "very disappointed" if North Korea resumed missile launches.
