Russia develops new frigate carrying nearly 50 cruise missiles.
(Baonghean.vn) - On March 17, a source in the manufacturing and defense sector said that Russia's Northern Design Bureau has begun developing documentation for a modern frigate under Project 22350M capable of carrying up to 48 Kalibr cruise missiles.

The source stated: "The Northern Design Bureau has completed the design of the frigates under Project 22350M and is currently developing the construction documentation for these ships to meet the customer's tactical and technological requirements."
The frigate has a displacement of up to 7,000 tons and is also capable of carrying Zircon hypersonic cruise missiles.
The Russian Navy has now commissioned the Admiral Gorshkov destroyer, the lead ship of Project 22350. Meanwhile, the first destroyer of Project 22350, the Admiral Kasatonov, is undergoing sea trials. These ships have a displacement of 4,500 tons, and each can carry 16 Kalibr cruise missiles.
