Gasoline tanker overturned on National Highway 1A, traffic jam for hours

(Baonghean.vn) - The accident occurred on National Highway 1A in Tan Phong block, Quynh Thien ward, Hoang Mai town (Nghe An) causing hundreds of liters of gasoline to spill onto the road, causing traffic congestion.

Accordingly, at around 8:00 a.m. this morning (March 25), on the way to transport gasoline from Vinh to Thanh Hoa, a specialized tanker truck with license plate 36C 08997 suddenly flipped over and rested its wheels on the hard median, causing hundreds of liters of gasoline to spill onto the highway.

Upon receiving the information, the Traffic Police of Hoang Mai town quickly mobilized hundreds of officers and soldiers to be present along with the Fire Prevention and Fighting Team to spread sand on the gasoline and block the road for vehicles from both ends to pass through the area to avoid a fire. The incident occurred right at the intersection down to Con Temple, causing traffic in all three directions to be slightly blocked.

To ensure fire and explosion safety for vehicles, the Traffic Police Department PC 08 Nghe An has increased staff to direct traffic from the Yen Ly and Dien Chau intersections and the Thanh Hoa border section for vehicles traveling on the Ho Chi Minh trail.

By 10am, traffic through the area was temporarily cleared. The incident has been reported and the cause is being investigated.
