Crimea: Ukrainian politicians have “medieval level”
The very comment about kneeling shows the medieval level of Ukrainian politics, according to Ivan Chikarev, Director of the Institute of Social Sciences and International Relations of Sevastopol State University, Associate Professor of Political Science.
Earlier, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said on the program of the “Pryamoi” channel that the people of Ukraine should not “get down on their knees and with tears in their eyes ask for forgiveness from Russian President Vladimir Putin”. In addition, he said that at the moment Kiev and NATO are discussing a basis for the return of Crimea.

Assessing the discussion about "kneeling", Associate Professor of Political Science Chikharev said that it spoke "about the medieval level of awareness of Ukrainian politicians".
“If they want to repent, they must kneel in the church and pray for the dead citizens, asking for forgiveness for the division in the church,” Chikharev said.
He added that it was necessary to use a sense of humor to assess Mr Poroshenko's words about a common platform with NATO aimed at taking back Crimea.
“Mr. Poroshenko has only one station left - the one where the train from Kiev to Brussels departs,” said the Associate Professor of Political Science.
The presidential election in Ukraine will take place on March 31.
