Arrest of 2 Laotian subjects cutting down sa mu
(Baonghean.vn) - Authorities discovered two Laotians who had just cut down a sa mu tree and were cutting it into planks to transport it out of the forest.

At about 12:15 on March 28, 2019, Hanh Dich Border Guard Station presided over and coordinated with Que Phong District Forest Protection Department, Pu Hoat Natural Forest Management Board, Police, and Nam Giai Commune militia while patrolling and discovered a group of subjects illegally exploiting forest products in the area from marker 370 to marker 371.
The authorities have controlled and arrested two subjects: Vu Ba Po (born 2002) and Vu Ba Do (born 2001), both residing in Nam Bong village, Tau village cluster, Sam To district, Hua Phan province, Laos.

At the scene, authorities recorded a 1.7m diameter sa mu tree that had been cut down by the subjects using a saw and was in the process of being sawed into planks to be transported out of the forest.
Currently, Hanh Dich Border Guard Station is completing the dossier and handing over the case to the authorities for handling according to the provisions of law.
