On April 2, the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army held an online conference to review training work for the entire army in the first quarter of 2019.
Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army chaired the Conference at the bridge point of the Ministry of National Defense Command; Colonel Tran Hai Binh - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Commander of the Provincial Border Guard chaired at the bridge point of the Nghe An Border Guard Command.

At the conference, Colonel Tran Dang Thanh - Deputy Director of the Military Training Department, General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army reported on the results of the first quarter training tasks and the key training tasks of the second quarter. Accordingly, all military units have thoroughly grasped and strictly implemented the 2019 training tasks; proactively overcame difficulties to prepare well for training; organized, maintained and operated training closely, ensuring content and time for the subjects, achieving good results.

Concluding the conference, Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong - Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army praised the efforts of units throughout the army in overcoming difficulties to successfully complete training tasks in the first quarter of 2019.
At the same time, Party committees and commanders at all levels are required to overcome the weaknesses and shortcomings mentioned in the report and comments of unit leaders pointed out at the conference. Continue to thoroughly grasp and seriously implement Resolution 765-NQ/QUTW dated December 20, 2012 of the Central Military Commission on improving the quality of training in the period 2013-2020 and the following years.
