Announcement of the decision to appoint Deputy Head of the Central Economic Commission

On the afternoon of April 5, in Hanoi, the Central Economic Committee held a conference to implement the Secretariat's decision on personnel work and presented the Secretariat's decision on appointing officials to the position of Deputy Head of the Central Economic Committee.

Attending the conference were Politburo member, Party Central Committee Secretary, Head of the Central Economic Commission Nguyen Van Binh; Party Central Committee member, Permanent Deputy Head of the Central Organization Commission Nguyen Thanh Binh; representatives of Central Party agencies; departments and functional units under the Central Economic Commission.

At the Conference, Permanent Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee Nguyen Thanh Binh announced Decision No. 1166-QDNS/TW dated April 4, 2019 of the Secretariat appointing Mr. Nguyen Hong Son - Deputy Director of Hanoi National University, to hold the position of Deputy Head of the Central Economic Committee.

Mr. Nguyen Hong Son was born on July 24, 1964, in Hoang Thinh commune, Hoang Hoa district, Thanh Hoa province. He is a member of the Communist Party of Vietnam; Associate Professor, Doctor of Economics; has a high level of Political Theory.

During his working process, Mr. Nguyen Hong Son was a researcher, senior researcher of the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences; Vice Rector, Rector, lecturer, senior lecturer of the University of Economics, Vietnam National University, Hanoi; Deputy Director of Vietnam National University, Hanoi, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of Vietnam National University, Hanoi, Chairman of the Inspection Committee of the Party Committee of Vietnam National University, Hanoi.
