Accordingly, at around 5:30 p.m. on April 5, Mr. Nguyen Viet Ly, resident of Huong Vinh commune (Huong Khe district, Ha Tinh) and many people in the commune were returning from the forest. When they reached Khe Tuan (Huong Vinh commune), a pickup truck suddenly approached the group of people going to the forest, pulled out a gun and shot repeatedly at Mr. Ly's thigh, causing him to collapse on the road. According to a witness, there were about 5 people in the car at that time, they pulled out guns and suddenly shot, causing many people to panic.
After committing the crime, the group drove towards Huong Vinh commune to Border Guard Station 575. Immediately after the incident, the victim was taken to the emergency room by local people. However, by the evening of the same day, due to the severity of the wound, the bullet was deeply embedded in the thigh, so the victim had to be transferred to a hospital in Nghe An for treatment.
The leader of Huong Khe district police said that this agency is coordinating with functional units to search for the perpetrators and investigate the case.
“The gun the suspects used to shoot the victim has not been identified. The initial cause was determined to be a conflict over forest land with the victim,” said a leader of Huong Khe District Police./.
