Towards the 4th Nghe Tinh Great Ordination Platform
(Baonghean.vn) - Within the framework of activities towards the Nghe Tinh Great Ordination Platform (scheduled to be held from April 5-8, 2019 at Diec Pagoda, No. 49, Quang Trung, Vinh City and Can Linh Pagoda (Cua Nam Ward, Vinh City), the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Nghe An province has had many important activities.
On April 4, the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Nghe An province held an examination to select candidates to attend the Great Ordination Platform to select those who have officially left home to study Buddhism and join the ranks of monks who are professionally involved in Buddhist activities. This is one of the activities leading up to the 4th Great Ordination Platform in Nghe Tinh.
There were 17 candidates participating in the examination conducted by the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Nghe An province, including 16 candidates applying for the novice ordination and 1 candidate applying for the monk ordination. Here, the candidates went through 3 examinations (question and answer, practice and essay) seriously and receptively.

At the end of the examination, 17/17 candidates had good results and passed, and will be present at the upcoming 4th Nghe Tinh Great Ordination Platform.
Previously, the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Nghe An province sent a delegation led by Venerable Thich Tam Thanh - Chief Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Nghe An province, abbot of Co Am Pagoda (Dien Minh commune, Dien Chau district) along with monks from the Executive Committee and monks and novices to the two provinces of Ha Nam and Ninh Binh to invite prestigious monks with Buddhist knowledge to attend the 4th Nghe Tinh Great Ordination Platform.
