Nghe An police are trying to find the woman who jumped off Ben Thuy bridge to commit suicide.
(Baonghean.vn) - Relatives and search and rescue forces are searching for a woman from Yen Thanh (Nghe An) who jumped off Ben Thuy bridge (Vinh city, Nghe An) to commit suicide.
At around 9:15 a.m. on April 8, passersby were shocked to see a woman climb onto the railing of Ben Thuy Bridge and jump into the Lam River.
At that time, due to the surprise and the high bridge, deep river, and fast flowing water, no one dared to jump into the Lam River to save the woman.

People reported the incident to the authorities. Many curious passersby also stopped their motorbikes on Ben Thuy bridge to watch the incident.
Upon receiving the news, the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Team of the Fire Prevention and Fighting Police Department of Nghe An Province Police arrived at the scene, sending vehicles down to the Lam River to search for the woman. Vinh City Police were also present on Ben Thuy Bridge to ensure security, order, traffic safety, and avoid congestion on the bridge.

Major Phan Sy Thong - Captain of the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Team of the Fire Prevention and Fighting Police Department of Nghe An Province Police, who was present at the scene, said that the woman was identified as Ms. Vo Thi Hien (born in 1989, residing in Hoa Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district, Nghe An).
