First time organizing international fair "One commune one product"

On the afternoon of April 9, the Central Office for New Rural Area Coordination, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) and the Vietnam Handicraft Exporters Association (VIETCRAFT) held a press conference to introduce the "Global OCOP Network Connection Forum" and "2019 OCOP International Fair".

Mr. Dang Van Cuong - Head of OCOP Department, Central Office for New Rural Area Coordination informed: The 2019 OCOP International Fair took place from April 17 to 20, 2019, in Ho Chi Minh City with the participation of about 600 booths from provinces and cities nationwide.

In particular, the event also has the participation of representatives of OCOP programs in 20 countries and territories such as Japan, Korea, Thailand, China, Kenya, etc.; representatives of state management agencies, associations, production and export enterprises from nearly 30 countries and territories and many international organizations operating in Vietnam will attend the "Global OCOP Networking Forum" and the 2019 OCOP International Fair.

This is a meaningful activity to help improve the competitiveness of products of enterprises and craft villages to produce goods for domestic consumption and export, creating opportunities for international tourists, importers, domestic and foreign distributors to access products with the Vietnam OCOP brand. At the same time, creating trade connections with participating countries and localities across the country.
