Nghe An: 3-room stilt house burned down, 1 person died
(Baonghean.vn) - Mr. Nguyen Van Suu - Chairman of Chau Dinh Commune People's Committee, Quy Hop District said that at around 12 noon today (April 12), a serious fire broke out at Mr. Luong Thanh Hien's house in Cung village.

The fire completely burned down the three-room stilt house and the kitchen. Mr. Luong Thanh Hien was unable to escape in time and burned to death in the house.

Initial information from the commune authorities, at the time of discovering the fire, the villagers shouted to the surrounding people to try to put out the fire. However, due to the hot weather, strong south wind, and the neighbors were all taking a nap, putting out the fire was difficult. Therefore, in just a moment, the fire burned down the 3-room stilt house, kitchen, motorbike and all the belongings in the house.
At the scene, items such as blankets, curtains, and bedding were burned black. Mr. Luong Thanh Hien's body was discovered in the middle of the house.
According to Mr. Nguyen Van Suu - Chairman of Chau Dinh Commune People's Committee: "When the fire broke out, Quy Hop district mobilized the district police, military and a large number of Chau Dinh commune militia and people in the hamlet to urgently put out the fire, but could not save Mr. Hien from the fire."

It is known that Mr. Luong Thanh Hien is 61 years old this year, an officer of Chau Ly Health Station who has just retired 2 years ago. He is currently living with his nephew, Mr. Luong Van Luat. At the time of the incident, Mr. Luat was not at home.
The cause of the fire has not been determined. Currently, authorities are protecting the scene and investigating the incident.
