Arrested addict with 1 heroin cake after 2 months of surveillance
(Baonghean.vn) - After more than 2 months of undercover operation, police arrested Nguyen Nhu Duc while transporting 1 heroin cake for sale.
In early February 2019, Team 4 - Drug Crime Investigation Police Department of Nghe An Provincial Police discovered that Nguyen Nhu Duc (born in 1980, residing in Hamlet 2, Lien Thanh Commune, Yen Thanh District) had signs of drug-related criminal activities.

Police determined that Nguyen Nhu Duc was a drug addict. To have money to buy drugs, he often transported large quantities of drugs to people inside and outside the province. Faced with this situation, the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department established a special project to combat the crime.
After more than 2 months of persistent monitoring, closely following the area and movements of the subject, on April 13, 2019, the investigation team determined that Nguyen Nhu Duc would transport drugs from Yen Thanh to Dien Chau for a subject, so they decided to solve the case.
At about 1:00 p.m. on April 13, 2019, when Nguyen Nhu Duc was illegally transporting drugs to Khanh Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district, he was discovered and caught red-handed by the police, who confiscated 1 heroin cake from Nguyen Nhu Duc.
Expanding the investigation, the special task force searched Nguyen Nhu Duc's residence and seized two packages of heroin on his bed.
The case is currently under investigation.
