Mr. Lavrov: "The United States cannot drag Russia into a new arms race"
Advocates of a new arms race are making a big fuss in Washington, but Russia will not let itself be drawn into it, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.

“If we assess Washington's actions in this area, we can practically conclude that those who advocate launching a new arms race are drowning out the noise,” the Russian foreign minister commented.
"As for Russia, President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly criticized such a process, and now I want to emphasize once again: No one can drag Russia into this useless and costly competition," Lavrov said while speaking at a meeting of the Council on Foreign and Defense Policy.
