Nghe An: 495 cases of traffic safety violations were punished during the 3-day holiday
(Baonghean.vn) - According to the report of the Traffic Police Department (Nghe An Provincial Police), during the 3-day holiday for Hung Kings' death anniversary (from April 13 to April 15), the whole province had 1 traffic accident, causing 1 death and 1 injury. In addition, there were 495 cases of violations of traffic safety regulations.
During the 3-day holiday, the Traffic Police organized 260 patrols and inspections, with 955 officers and soldiers participating, thereby detecting and making administrative records of 665 cases. Of these, 206 cases were car drivers (46 passenger cars, 139 trucks, 20 cars, 01 taxi); 455 cases were motorbikes, 4 cases were electric motorbikes.
Accordingly, the authorities have temporarily detained 11 cars, 130 motorbikes, 4 electric motorbikes; at the same time, issued decisions to fine 495 cases, transferring the fine to the Treasury of 295,770,000 VND.

According to the leader of the Traffic Police Department (Provincial Police), of these, 212 cases were fined for the fault of people sitting on motorbikes - motorbikes, electric bicycles when participating in traffic without wearing helmets; 119 cases of driving motor vehicles without a driver's license; 72 cases of not having a vehicle registration certificate; 33 cases of violating regulations on alcohol concentration; 89 cases of not complying with traffic light signals; 45 cases of exceeding the prescribed speed; 20 cases of not complying with traffic light signals; 60 cases of technical safety equipment not being guaranteed; 12 cases of oversized cars; 20 cases of overloaded cars...
National statistics show that during these 3-day holidays, there were 97 traffic accidents nationwide, killing 66 people and injuring 60 others.
