Fined over 232 million VND, license revoked for 1 month for company selling poor quality gasoline
(Baonghean.vn) - This company was discovered by the Inspectorate of the Department of Science and Technology to have sold E5 RON 92 gasoline that did not meet quality standards, of which more than 4,000 liters were consumed and more than 2,600 liters of gasoline were not consumed.
On April 17, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Hong Vinh signed a decision to administratively fine Binh Trinh Company Limited (located in Son Tay hamlet, Nghia Son commune, Nghia Dan district) more than 232 million VND.
The reason for the penalty is that this company sold products and goods with quality that did not comply with the provisions of the corresponding technical regulations.

The company was also subject to an additional penalty of having its certificate of eligibility for petroleum business revoked for a period of one month. The decision also required the company to recall and recycle unsold violating goods, including more than 2,600 liters of E5 RON92 gasoline.
Previously, on the evening of March 18, the Department of Science and Technology Inspectorate conducted a surprise inspection of Binh Trinh petrol station, located in Son Tay hamlet, Nghia Son commune, Nghia Dan district.
At the time of inspection, this store was selling 3 types of gasoline, including RON 95, E5 RON 92 and diesel. The inspection team took 3 samples of these gasoline and sent them to the Center for Technical Standards, Measurement and Quality (under the General Department of Standards, Metrology and Quality, Ministry of Science and Technology) for testing.

The test results of the Technical Center for Standards, Measurement and Quality concluded that the E5 RON 92 gasoline sample does not comply with the national technical regulation QCVN 01:2015/BKHCN on gasoline, diesel fuel and biofuel.
Specifically, the ethanol content (bio-alcohol) in E5 RON 92 gasoline was only 1.88%, while the regulation required it to be 4-5% by volume. At the time of inspection, this facility had more than 6,600 liters of unsold E5 RON 92 gasoline.
On March 29, the Inspectorate of the Department of Science and Technology issued an administrative violation record against Binh Trinh Trading Company Limited for selling E5 RON 92 gasoline that did not meet quality standards, including more than 4,000 liters consumed and more than 2,600 liters of unsold gasoline. At the same time, all of this unsold gasoline was sealed.
Nghe An Department of Science and Technology submitted the dossier to the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to administratively sanction Binh Trinh Trading Company Limited according to its authority.
