Nghi Loc receives martyrs' remains for burial in hometown

(Baonghean.vn) - In 2 days (April 12 and April 16), the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Fatherland Front Committee and people of Nghi Long commune and their families held a ceremony to receive and bury the remains of two martyrs, Ho Sy Than and Nguyen Van Suu, at the Nghi Loc District Martyrs' Cemetery.

Martyr Ho Sy Than (born 1956), sacrificed on April 29, 1979 at the Southwest front, was buried by his comrades at TaCo Cemetery, Bunsat Province (Cambodia). When the country was unified, the martyr's remains were gathered at Ho Chi Minh City Cemetery.

Martyr Nguyen Van Suu (born 1949), sacrificed on July 2, 1972 at the Southern front, his remains were buried at the Binh Duong Province Martyrs Cemetery. After more than 40 years of separation, they have now returned to their motherland.

The ceremony to receive and bury the remains of the martyrs was held solemnly and respectfully in the grief and gratitude of relatives, comrades, Party committees, authorities, departments, organizations and local people for the heroic sacrifice of the two martyrs for the cause of fighting to protect the Fatherland.
