Nghi Loc District Police Department said that the unit has just initiated a case and prosecuted the suspect Duong Quoc Chien (born in 1984, residing in Hamlet 4, Hung Linh Commune, Hung Nguyen District) for rape.
Previously, on April 6, Nghi Loc District Police received a complaint from Ms. HT L, 21 years old, residing in a commune in Nghi Loc District, bordering Hung Nguyen District, with the following content: At about 1:30 p.m. on April 5, Ms. L was riding a motorbike on Vinh bypass. When passing through Nghi Van Commune, Nghi Loc District, Duong Quoc Chien, riding a motorbike behind her, suddenly rushed up, forced her to the side of the road, threatened her and demanded sexual intercourse.
Because the road was deserted, Ms. L was afraid and had to agree to follow the young man to a field 300 meters away so that he could commit a depraved act. After having sex, the man took Ms. L's phone number and continued to threaten her, demanding that she let him have sex with her next time. Otherwise, he would make public Ms. L's private life.
At the investigation agency, the suspect Chien confessed that because he had alcohol in his system, he committed the above crime.
With the collected evidence, on April 18, the Nghi Loc District Police Investigation Agency initiated a case and prosecuted Duong Quoc Chien for the crime of "Rape" as prescribed in Clause 1, Article 143 of the Penal Code.
